The Final Full Moon OF 2025: A Crossroads In Motion

We're fast approaching the last Full Moon of 2025. And in true Gemini form, it's a busy one. The Full Moon at 13° Gemini, peaking at 3:13 PM PST on December 4th, is illuminating communications, important choices – and perhaps a sense of mental, emotional, and physical overload. It is the holiday season after all.

Gemini, an air sign, ruled by Mercury, is fun, curious, chatty, and interested in a lot of different things things. Often known for bopping around from one thing to the next, it's hard to find a Gemini that stays still for too long. Gemini sits opposite the fiery and free-spirited sign of Sagittarius in the zodiac.

The Sun entered Sagittarius on Nov 21st, right after that potent, and watery, New Moon in Scorpio. The Sun, Mars, and Venus, are all currently in Sagittarius, pulling focus to expansion, our beliefs, and thirst for new adventures. But this year, with Jupiter, the ruler of Sag, retrograde in Cancer, there is an added focus on home and family matters, our private lives, and need for safety and security.

Mercury is the ruler of this Full Moon and is finally in direct motion after being retrograde most of November. But, it's still moving through Scorpio, retracing its steps one last time and integrating all that came up for review the past few weeks. Scorpio deals with the deeper, more mysterious parts of life and working with this Full Moon, could be pushing more of what's been hidden up to the surface, making this particular Gemini Full Moon feel a little more intense than usual.

Key Aspects of the Full Moon in Gemini:

  • Mutable Grand Cross with the Sun in Sag opposite the Moon in Gemini – both squaring the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo: fated choice point with a push to move forward on our paths; releasing what no longer serves.

  • The Grand Water Trine with Mercury in Scorpio, Jupiter Rx in Cancer, and Saturn in Pisces: communications and perception are deep, emotional, supportive, healing, and intuitive.

  • Mercury in Scorpio quincunx Chiron Rx in Aries: adjustments and sensitivities to what we might be thinking or communicating.

The Mutable Grand Cross is the stand-out aspect of this Full Moon, particularly because it's working the the Lunar Nodes – events that occur when they're activated often feel like they have a fated quality to them. The Sun and Moon squaring the Nodes means that we are halfway between eclipses and the choices, actions, or communications popping up on or around this Full Moon, may have a long-term impact, as we move forward on our destined paths.

I think this energy signature ties in beautifully with the fact that we've likely all been sitting with and contemplating a lot over the past few weeks. Mercury retrograde always brings up a review of sorts, plus we're nearing the end of the year – a natural point when we're indexing how our year went: what worked, what didn't, what we might want to try differently or shift our perspective on. As we look ahead to 2026, we might feel pushed to make a choice (or two..) around things we've been noodling on, with an overall sense that a turning point has been reached and the next chapter is starting to take shape.

Personally, I've been feeling that South Node in Virgo energy strongly most of this year, especially now: work, daily routine, health, pets, and mental habits have been key themes for me. I'm actively working to release my strong inner critic that wants to nitpick every single thing I do, think, or say. With so much uncertainty I felt this year, I continue to try to work on growth with the North Node in Pisces energy in mind: trust, going with the flow, having more compassion for myself, and remembering to take time to rest.

And that Grand Water Trine I love to talk about is still active – but this time with Mercury direct, moving with more certainty. Though some of the subjects swirling in our thoughts and communications may feel more penetrating, I do feel a strong sense of support available. The planets in water signs are helping us move through the emotional currents, releasing heavy blocks and burdens that might surface along the way.

This final Full Moon of the year is a great checking in point to reflect on how much you've transformed since January – and where in your life you might be invited to continue to evolve and adapt. If you have any planets or points on or around 13° in your birth chart, you'll be feeling this crossroads energy the most strongly, especially the Mutable Signs – Gemini, Virgo, Sag, and Pisces.

As always, this my general take on the energy landscape. I'm here for 1:1 guidance if you would like more personalized insights and to see how the planets and transits are working with your chart directly.

Here's to going with the flow and adapting along the way. xo, Tiffany
