New Moon Conjunct Jupiter: Nurturing Yourself Through Growth

The New Moon on June 25, 2025 at 4° Cancer is one worth noting. The Moon is at home here — soft, nurturing, tender, and deeply intuitive. And paired with the Sun, it invites a moment to come back to center. To recalibrate. To soften into ourselves while the world continues swirling around us.

What’s extra special about this New Moon is that it’s conjunct Jupiter — the planet of expansion, abundance, and divine wisdom. A rare alignment. By the time we reach the next New Moon in Cancer, Jupiter will already have moved into Leo.

A New Moon with Jupiter is, well... extra.
Extra abundant. Extra feely. Extra expansive. Extra intense.
It could bring good news, confidence, support, a boost... or just a lot of something. You get to decide how you want to work with that “extra.” ;)

There’s also a helpful sextile from the New Moon + Jupiter to Mars in Virgo – an opportunity to look at the details in your life and get more organized, as well as examine how you can best be of service. Virgo energy also helps us tune into our health, our body, and daily habits.

This is a good New Moon to work with if you want to plant seeds around improved daily routines that will support and sustain you.

But we can’t gloss over the fact that Jupiter (and this New Moon) is sitting in a square with both Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Jupiter has been in a square with Saturn and Neptune for most of June, which accounts for some of the tension, blocks, and confusion many of us have been experiencing lately.

Acknowledging the desire for change, but hitting walls.

Feeling the call to expand, but facing reality checks.

Unsure about which direction to head.

And today, with the Sun and Moon added to the mix, you might be feeling a lot of emotions about Cancer and Aries themes.

Cancer is about home, family, ancestry, the past, our inner world, and emotional safety. Aries is about the individual self — our independence, sovereignty, drive, and personal pursuits.

These differing energies can feel at odds, but they’re ultimately inviting us to move through the challenges and align more fully with who we are now.

Jupiter in Cancer reminds us to trust your intuition — that quiet knowing within that’s been telling you something you already know to be true. Even if your mind hasn't fully accepted it yet, or can't see how it will work out.

It also invites us to be open to receiving help, support, love, and care — things we know we need but sometimes don’t ask for or give to ourselves.

Jupiter's expansion through Cancer over the coming year — a Cardinal Water sign — opens a beautiful portal to access deeper emotional and intuitive wisdom. I don't know about you, but my dream state has been ripe with messages lately, and the insights coming through feel more potent than ever.

This New Moon kicks off a new 30-day cycle, as well as a longer six-month arc, which culminates at the Cancer Full Moon in early January 2026.

Cancer sits opposite Capricorn in the zodiac wheel, and is the Cardinal Earth sign representing our achievements, career, legacy, and outward-facing self.

The Cancer–Capricorn axis is activated over this next month, and in two weeks, we’ll have a Full Moon at 18° Capricorn on July 10th.

So as you set intentions for the coming month, you might reflect on both your inner and outer worlds:

  • How can I move forward with my passions and calling while honoring where I come from, who I’ve been to-date, and who I am now — this version of me?

  • What am I wanting to grow in my inner and outer life, and what needs tending and nurturing (Cancer) to bring it into form (Capricorn)?

You’ll want to check which houses the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) fall in your birth chart, and whether you have any planets or points in those signs, as they'll be feeling this energy the most strongly. This can offer deeper insight into the areas of life being activated for you over the next 30 days.
